Line Items We Can Price Up Front
Two parts of a kitchen job have solid ranges. Kitchen flooring installation runs $1,000 to $4,000. Where you land depends on the material and the square footage of the room. Recessed lighting installation runs $100 to $300 per fixture, so a kitchen with six cans is $600 to $1,800 for the lighting alone.
Countertops, cabinets and appliances swing more, because the material and the model you pick set the price. Laminate sits at the low end, solid surface in the middle, and quartz or natural stone at the top. We give you a range for those once we know what you are leaning toward.
What the Price Covers
A full kitchen quote covers more than the new materials. We protect the nearby areas of the house first. Then we remove the existing cabinets, countertops, appliances, flooring and tile as far as the scope requires. After that we install the selected countertop, flooring, backsplash, lighting and appliances. Demolition and protection are labor, and they show up in the quote as their own work.
We use an adjustable laser pole to check level and layout lines for cabinets, counters and light placement. That keeps the finished room square and the fixtures evenly spaced, and it saves callbacks.

What Moves the Number Up or Down
The biggest swing is whether the layout changes. Keeping the sink, range and fridge where they are keeps the budget in the finish work. Moving any of them adds work behind the walls and pushes the number up.
House age matters too. The typical Castle Rock home was built around 2006, so the kitchens we open are about twenty years old. The original flooring and lighting are usually at the point where replacing them makes more sense than patching. We look at that when we scope the job, because a worn floor or old light housings are cheaper to deal with while the room is already torn out.
Material choice is the other lever. Flooring alone spans $1,000 to $4,000 depending on what you pick and how big the room is. Fixture count drives the lighting line. Going from four cans to eight doubles that part of the bill.
How We Quote It
We come out and measure the room, note the cabinet configuration, and check the floor and the existing lighting. The written quote reflects what we found and the materials you choose. It lists protection and removal of the old materials as part of the work.
When the install is done, we do a final walkthrough with you. We test the faucets, outlets, appliances, cabinet hardware and countertop surfaces before we call the job finished.
Call with your scope and we will give you the typical range over the phone. Then we walk the kitchen and give you the exact number.
